Fly Fishing 3D is a fly fishing simulation. Scenery, fisherman, river are 3D. You can clearly see the fishes swimming in the river and choose your angle of casting. You can choose among a few spots but when you are on the river you can move a few steps and turn around. After that choose a fly, cast it and bring the fish, if you can.
Description ( from company’s site )
Among sport fishing enthusiasts, “Fly Fishing” holds unmatched popularity,
and we now introduce a full 3D game!
In Fly Fishing, the newly recreated casting style is made to offer fully realistic experiences
with the tilted iPhone operation.
On a stage of natural beauty, challenge a fish to a psychological war!
Casting is incorporated in tilted iPhone operations, so it feels realistic,
just like when you flick a real fishing rod backward and forward, draw a loop, and cast out the line.
The river flow speed and direction are very realistic. The view is just like as if fly is flowing in a mountain stream.
You can choose fields with different characteristics: any of three types of mountain streams (upper, middle, or lower), or a lake.
The ten or more types of flies each have their own special features.
Depending on your choices of fishing location and target fish species,
you can change your preferred fly to enjoy the feeling of experiencing real-life fly fishing.
This game uses a camera zoom system so you can cast your fly accurately to the point at which you aimed.
The environment is clean but the playability is very low. Whatever they say, casting is loose and sloppy. We haven’t been able to use the flick of the phone to help the cast, neither to use the zoom to cast accurately. It is completely evident that they created the game based on their lures casting engine. The fly casting is one of the worst we have seen. You can’t really cast where you want and the line goes through rocks and whatever obstacle there is. Bringing the fish is another challenge but not of fly fishing type.
