Here it’s not an app but I thought it was worth the review as the theme of this blog is to bring your iPhone fishing. We want to bring it with us but without the fear to lost it.
By the way, do you know that Apple added a water detector in their iPhone, iPod and iPad. If you go to the shop saying it doesn’t work anymore, the first thing they do is to check this tiny white indicator to see if it felt in the soup. It is said that it could be one of the next iPhone great feature to be completely waterproof as statistically 1 of 3 iPhones finishes in the toilet bowl! On of three, that must be the frustrated Android users who want to have a good reason to buy an iPhone!
I have tried a few accessories including the iPhone Pelican case but the one I got was mono and wasn’t fully supporting the command button of my headphones. This one has all the needed functionnalities, you can take picture, listen and change tunes, you can even play with your iPhone.
While writtting this post I found a good story.
Make your iPhone and iPad LifeProof
When you need an iPhone case or iPad case that can match the pace of your lifestyle, choose LifeProof. With a LifeProof iPhone 4S case, your smartphone and all of its capabilities can follow wherever you go. Likewise, adding a waterproof iPad case to your device lets you take it where other tablets fear to tread. Many have called LifeProof the best iPhone case because it is waterproof, dust-proof and shock-proof, but there’s much more to it than that. Unlike other waterproof iPhone cases, the LifeProof offers a sleek low profile that barely increases the size of your mobile phone. Your iPhone 4 or iPhone 4S is not only protected, it looks cool. What’s more your LifeProof iPhone case is supported by an array of action mounts and iPhone accessories that let you get the most from your phone. Choose from iPhone armbands, iPhone bike mounts, iPhone belt clips and more. Take your device in the water, dirt or snow with a LifeProof iPhone case or iPad case. Let’s Go!
It is a very good product. I have used it on a fishing trip to Cuba and wasn’t afraid to damp my phone with salt water. I haven’t been brave enough to put my phone in the water for a test.
However, I found 3 flaws:
- first when you plug the headphones adapter, if you tight too much you lost the command button functionnalities, you need to make a few adjustments to be sure you have reach the perfect place.
- second this adapter is fragile, mine is already broken. I imagine it is the tiny wires inside but it doesn’t work anymore while there is no trace of damage on it.
- while they say you can take pictures, the results have more than once showed a ghost image due to reflection in the lens.
But protection seems perfect, usability is complete. If you take care of it, it will take care of your “precious”.
